I’ve been thinking a lot about how the impact of the “Girl Boss” movement. For me personally, I found the idea of a Girl Boss helpful in my early twenties, reframing away from caring as much about how I looked to caring more about my career. I’m curious if anyone has strong feelings about the “Girl Boss” movement and started a thread on Substack to discuss!
For an article, I’m looking to talk to people who took tech-free or phone-free trips and want to tell me why they hated or loved it!!!

Re: phone free adventures - I had a New Years resolution in 2023 to have one fully phone free day a week. I briefly dated a guy who abstained from all technology for Shabbat, and he managed it fine, so I thought "this could be interesting!" The second week I tried it, I had plans to meet up with some friends at their house so we could carpool to an engagement party together. The subway was majorly delayed, I was stuck transferring for ages, I was about 40 min late, and they were really worried and also annoyed because they had zero way of finding where I was or even knowing if I had left the house. The resolution died quickly lol. But I do have aspirations of picking it back up one day!
