10 Things I’m Celebrating This Week:
WE CLOSED ON OUR APARTMENT ON FRIDAY!!!!!
G and I spent the weekend stripping wallpaper in the new flat which has been so satisfying. It is so fun to work on a project together.
I also made a group chat for people doing renovations and DIY in Edinburgh - and over 100+ people have joined!! Reply if that’s interesting to you and I can send you the link!
On the renovation theme, I subscribed to
‘s paid newsletter so I could read her renovation series and I LOVED IT!I have 3 invites to Cosmos, which is like a more aesthetic Pinterest (I think, I’ve only just started to try it out!) Let me know if you want one!
I stumbled across this incredibly kind TikTok review of our wedding!
A hate read is still a read… I also came across a Twitter thread of a journalist ripping apart the article I wrote for Vogue about our $10k wedding because… too many friends helped make our wedding possible? It was an extremely jarring experience to read such a vile post… and one that was not fact-checked. The lesson here that I’m learning is to not let strangers’ opinions affect me. As a sensitive person, this is something I have been working on all my life but I do think the real work has started this year with more public writing.
Majorly spring cleaning and getting rid of nearly all of my clothes (or at least a large majority of them). The same goes for our furniture, which is not out of choice, but rather because it doesn’t fit in our new flat! It is a moment of change that is both freeing and taxing.
Needed to share
’s CPH guide which is timely because I just got back last week! Biking everywhere is just the best.Picked up a copy of The Gentlewoman at the CPH airport which I’m so excited to read! I sat next to EIC Penny Martin at the Bard x Boath House event a few months back and it was such a treat!
All my love,
Sarah
Belated congratulations! The wedding looked stunning and thanks for the plug on Salon 21, great event on female founders. I would love the cosmos invite. As I start to think about brand building I’ve found Pinterest helpful but it’s a little outdated…
A lovely read. I must admit I steer clear of Twitter. Way too many twits. That hater was obviously so jealous that you have friends, all too eager to help. That’s what makes our lives so joyous. Enjoy that wonderful new apartment! It looks extraordinary! Sending heaps of hugs dear Sarah. 🤗🤗🤗
