no birthday newsletter this year

Hello friends!!! Normally I write a newsletter on my birthday reflecting on the past year, which I LOVE to do, but this year I couldn’t bear to do it. It turns out that planning a destination wedding and then buying a flat to renovate two weeks later while working full-time and freelancing in your spare time is a great recipe to BURN OUT! I had a VERY restful weekend, and overall I’m looking at what in my life needs to shift (ahem, my phone usage, I’m looking directly at you!!!)

10 Things I’m Celebrating This Week:

1. For Vogue, I wrote about shopping second-hand for my wedding!!!

   

2. G and I went to Soho Farmhouse for the weekend and it was SO LOVELY. I am sorry to report that it is absolutely 100% worth the money and we enjoyed it so much that I uncancelled my Soho House membership…

   

3. This might have been my favorite birthday I’ve ever had. The best part, in addition to other surprises, is that G prepared a list of “birthday questions,” to reflect on the last year and WOW that is absolutely my love language.

   

4. I just finished David Nicholls’s (author of One Day) latest book, You Are Here, and I enjoyed it so much. It has been a while since I’ve read a book that I couldn’t put down and this was one of them.

5. TAYLOR SWIFT IN EDINBURGH THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!! I am going on Friday!!!!

6. Dior hosted their Cruise runway show at Drummond Castle and Gleneagles in Scotland yesterday and I’m loving the coverage!!!! Read some of the amazing articles here (Vogue, W Magazine, BBC, Tatler, Elle)

7. Next week, Ailsa and I are hosting an interiors moodboarding workshop at Catalog Interiors (which filled up in like 10 minutes!) Join the waitlist and hopefully I’ll be hosting more events like this. Let me know if you’d be interested in more!

9. So excited to go to a lunch at Elliott’s this weekend!!!

10. G and I gave notice on our current apartment today (weeeep!!) and have one month to get our new apartment move-in ready!!! The clock has started!!!
