Hi friends!!
I’m back in Edinburgh until the end of the year and I’m so happy to slip into some form of routine after months of moving about. Finishing our renovation is the only thing standing between us and the end of the year, but I am praying that it goes off smoothly.
My friend and I launched , a separate newsletter where we will write about the business of sport and style. You can read our first edition here where we dig into the rowing resurgence and Ferrari’s push into luxury clothing that brought them to the Gladiator II red carpet.
I went to the most lovely party at Bard to celebrate their exhibition, “A Scottish Enlightenment” which featured candlesticks made by 20 different makers. It was the dreamiest candlelit evening.
The Edinburgh Christmas markets are on, and in two weeks there will be a weekend of festive holiday markets including Elliott’s and Style Your Spaces holiday events which I’m very excited about.
I’m here to tell you that eating more protein actually will change your life. Last week I started working with Emily Frostsmith to stock our kitchen with meals (lush I know!!!) and I’m now enjoying the most delicious protein-filled breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. My entire mood, worldview, demeanor has been transformed for the better!!!
I saw Gladiator II with G on Friday and honestly enjoyed it way more than I expected. (Other than the parts where I had my eyes and ears covered as I’m a sensitive flower). I took a class called Intro to Ancient Roman Sports in college and I re-read the syllabus before the movie.
The tiles for our bathroom renovation arrived from Mandarin Stone (notably, on a pallet), on the curbside, where I was expected to carry them up the stairs but I was luckily rescued by an amazing handyman who did it for me.
I just got rid of 5 (!!!!) boxes of clothing and it is such an amazing feeling. I’m working someone to get it all listed on Vinted which made the pain of getting rid of clothes so much easier.
treen hosted Flabelus in their store last week and I got my hands on these amazing velvet ballet flats that I’ve worn every day since.
I am truly obsessed with the Mother of Pearl denim shirt photographed above. I have worn it more times in the last week than I would care to admit…
I went to hot yoga last night for the opening of hotpod yoga in Edinburgh and it was just amazing. I have missed heated vinyasa yoga so much. If you went to college with me in Ann Arbor, you might remember the hot yoga studio above Jimmy John’s. My heart misses it!
Sending hugs,
Sarah
Those candles are stunning. What a wonderful ambience for a party. And yummy meals which look very well-balanced - there’s a lot of vegetables and carbohydrates with the protein by the look of things, which means your body ends up with everything it needs without needing supplements. Excellent.
It’s so funny watching Edinburgh and everything else in the far north move rapidly towards winter, while our Aussie days get steadily longer and warmer. Sending heaps of warm hugs. 🤗🤗💕
Does she do meal delivery in Edinburgh? That looks amazing would love an overview of the high protein meals.
