Hi friends,
Happy Gemini Season from your resident Gemini! I turned 26 on Wednesday and wrote an essay defending crying on your birthday.
(Yes, I cried this year)
10 Things I’m Celebrating This Week:
Next Tuesday, June 7th, join Lindsay MacMillan at her book launch for her new book The Heart of the Deal. Sign up here to attend her interview at Shakespeare & Co. I’ll be there!
Christy Coco is having a solo show at Pete’s Candy Store on June 24th at 11pm ET. Free admission (donation encouraged). I’m flying in from Barcelona to catch it!
Create Dinners, an incredible workshop and dinner series hosted by the unparalleled Kate Pauley, is how I made some of my closest friends in NYC. Apply to be a Dinner No. 18 attendee in Dobbs Ferry, NY on Sunday, June 26 here!
The beloved Vera Yoga is opening their roof back up for yoga classes under the sun this summer. Sign up for classes here!
Rachel Cantor is hosting an “Oddly Specific” Play Date for adults. Come for an afternoon of crayons, goofiness, and Play-Doh at the LALO store in Soho. Sign up here.
Everyone’s favorite House of Rowdy just launched on Thingtesting. Leave them a glowing review here and spread the word about the best vintage store in Europe!
Sean Legister’s twice weekly newsletter, “Monday Morning Lift” never fails to resonate. It’s the best way to start and end the week.
Check out Denisse Ariana Pérez’s beautiful interview in Picture This here. This quote especially resonated with me. “I compose within reality and it forces me to look for beauty everywhere. I don’t look at the world for what it is. I look at it for what it can be.”
As a follow-up to last week’s mention of Hilary Hoffman’s workout class in the Hamptons called The Soto Method, I’m so excited to try it tomorrow. If you’re out East this summer, you can sign up here!
Abena and Ana Laura threw me the most gorgeous dinner party to celebrate my birthday. My boyfriend flew in from Spain to meet 20 of my friends at once. My parents are driving 12 hours to see me on Sunday. Incredible feats of love all around!!!
With joy,
Sarah
