wins of the week #37
senior copywriting role, how much money do authors actually make, lemon water
Greetings from your regularly irregular newsletter that used to come on Fridays and now comes on Saturdays, except for days when it comes on a Sunday (like today).
10 Things I’m Celebrating This Week:
Making progress on Limm, a product I’m working on for people who love water with lemon! Follow along here.
Tennis. We started watching Break Point and also G is taking on the thankless task of teaching me how to play. It’s so fun and so hard.
Vacation is hiring a Senior Copywriter which looks like such a freaking fun role.
Emma was published in Architectural Digest, interviewing Jonathan Sanchez-Obias about his home that is a midcentury dream.
Two Barcelona favorites, House of Rowdy and Can Pep Ray are teaming up for an archive sale on February 2nd. I can’t wait!!
The Soto 5 & 10 min arm workouts are no joke.
Laura McKowen breaks down how much she made from her book We Are The Luckiest, which sold 100,000+ copies, in this newsletter here. I found it fascinating, because no one really talks in specifics about the financial reality of writing a book.
I also found this newsletter very helpful, while slightly unnerving, about the responsibility you have when you are writing memoir.
Okay I have to say, ChatGPT is so helpful. The first draft of Limm’s FAQs were done with ChatGPT’s help.
I’m halfway through The Idiot. I have many thoughts. If you have read it and also have thoughts, please comment on this thread!!
All my love,
Sarah
P.S. Thank you for faithfully reading the wins of the week. I promise that the essays will come back soon.
I’ve been using my creative juices on a longer form writing project that has now grown to 100 pages! I’m hoping to carve out more space to do both soon.
Hi my friends!! It was super easy.
I logged into chat GPT here (https://chat.openai.com/chat) and then asked questions like:
- What are the health benefits of lemon water?
- What celebrities drink lemon water?
- write an aida style advertisement for Limm, a Barcelona based lemon beverage company that embodies the values of the Mediterranean
among other questions!
and then edited bits and pieces together!
Would love to know how GPT helped you with the FAQ!! So interesting <3
