If you are an astute Liminal Space reader, you might have noticed this was 2 weeks late (eeek!) I had it drafted last week, but couldn’t find the brain space to send it while at a company offsite in Miami. I am now back in Edinburgh after three weeks of NYC, Michigan, and Miami— and back in the Substack saddle!!!!
10 Things I’m Celebrating This Week:
I GOT A WEDDING DRESS! Well, 2 of them. Both vintage! One for the civil ceremony and another for the actual thing. I have no plans for a wedding yet, but I couldn’t resist going to Happy Isles in NYC with my mom and it was truly magical.
Celebrating my third sober Thanksgiving <3 Holidays can be interesting when sober, because there is always a raised focus on alcohol. It always provides a moment to reflect on why I’m so happy I stopped drinking.
Seeing my dear friends makes my heart EXPLODE!!!!
Went to Casino, the very hyped restaurant in the LES. My expert review is that the food was neutral/positive, the interior was great, but the vibes were intimidating. It did not pass my flash test— meaning if you took a picture and your flash accidentally went off, would you be mortified? I conducted the test and failed.
I went to Vera Yoga, which is such a place of peace for me in NYC. It is truly a perfect place.
Royal Circus napkins arrived!!! Order now to get them in time for the holidays!!
I went swimming in Miami and I think swimming is extremely important to mental health. I FEEL ALIVE!
I went to the extraordinary Krüs Kitchen in Miami (Michelin star-studded!!!!) and it was amazing. As a separate update, I eat steak now.
Looking for recommendations for Vienna!!
My brilliant friend Lindsay did the production and styling for the Six Bells holiday shop and it is just stunning.
All my love,
Sarah
