Hello from your favorite weekly-on-Fridays newsletter that comes on Wednesdays.
This newsletter is consistently inconsistent and I’ll just pretend it’s intentional to keep you on your toes—and not that when I’m on holiday, I am ON HOLIDAY and cannot bear to open my computer. It’s also due to the fact that when I arrive in Spain, this strange vortex opens and even though I’ve been going to bed at 9pm and getting out of the house by 7am in Scotland, I somehow find myself staying up until 2am and sleeping in until noon.
So without further ado,
10 Things I’m Celebrating This Week:
Greetings from Madrid, one of my favorite places on earth. We are here with G’s family, staying in a stunning apartment (thank you Kindred!) and soaking up Spain’s December sun.
If you have any recommendations for Madrid, please send them along!!
I went to Tracy Anderson today which is my greatest indulgence. I love the Madrid studio so much.
I used retinol for the first time last night—which is how I learned the hard way that you should wash it off before sweating it into your eyes in a workout class. LOL.
Other Madrid highlights include that G and I went to the Dani García restaurant, Lobito de Mar, and it was delicious.
We also visited two wedding venues in Segovia and they were so beautiful. On the other hand, I’d love to talk to people who had their wedding at a restaurant and kept it simple—considering this and would love to talk to people who did it!
I’m irrationally excited to see the new Ferrari movie!!!!
~ Edinburgh section of the newsletter ~ I got to go to one of the soft launch dinners at Avery Edinburgh (thank you Pippa!!!!!) and it was amazing.
To ring in the new year, I’m hosting a vision board-making session and dinner in Edinburgh on Jan 4th. Sign up here!
Been thinking a lot about what I want to bring into my life in 2024. A dream of mine is about to come true (excuse the vagueness, will share more when it does!!). Over and over again I am reminded of how important mental focus and clarity of goals are. What do you want to bring into your life this upcoming year? Let me know in the comments and be specific!
All my love, happy holidays, and enjoy this true liminal space that is the time between Christmas and New Years!!!!!
Sarah
