wins of the week #89
couch to wimbledon (this time for real), the show One Day, party in the Highlands
10 Things I’m Celebrating This Week:
We got tickets to Wimbledon!!! For men’s singles finals!!!! I am still hyperventilating. There is nothing higher pressure than being the responsible party for getting the tickets for the household from a ballot.
In other tennis news, I got back out there in my tennis league (lost 9-2) but I feel like the weather is finally bearable enough to start playing again. Shoutout to everyone in my neighborhood tennis league who played through the winter without any problems (you are stronger than me).
I’m SO EXCITED for this incredible weekend up at Boath House in the Highlands produced by the geniuses at Bard. I got my ticket!!!!!
Ostara is the pagan celebration of the Spring Equinox - a distant ancestor of Easter. It is a threshold time for shuffling off the shackles of darkness and welcoming a little light back into our lives. Our house party will include an Ostara feast, a fire ceremony, folk tales and whisky, a bracing dip and a hearty brunch. Together we will bid farewell to Winter and usher in the warmth of Spring.
G and I watched One Day and I sobbed on the train from Edinburgh to London. It was great—and completely destroyed me. The best part was when we saw our street in Edinburgh in the show and both shouted and had to pause it. My favorite character in the show was Edinburgh.
The series catalyzed so many interesting discussions about what the message was. I think there are several, but the one that was most salient to was—you have to figure out what your priorities are as soon as you can—because “delaying” making choices about the important things is in itself a choice. IF YOU WANT TO DISCUSS, PLEASE MESSAGE ME!
I also feel compelled to watch the One Day movie with Anne Hathaway again, even though I swore I would never watch it again because it so dramatically wrecked me. Not me in seventh grade posting this on Tumblr without ever having a boyfriend.
Happy birthday to G!!! Whose birthday is one day after Valentine’s Day which feels very appropriate!!!
One more note about how the Deliciously Ella cookbook for under 30 min and under 10 ingredient recipes has transformed my life. I also bought a blender so I can make all the recipes!!!
Calling all Mediterranean Grannies —

G and I are in London this weekend and I am really enjoying it but also it makes me miss Edinburgh?!?!! What is happening to me?!?!
All my love,
Sarah
It’s because there’s no London Minute right?!
