10 Things I’m Celebrating This Week:
G and I were supposed to go to the Highlands this weekend, but severe flooding kept us home (weep!) but we had a lovely weekend despite the change in plans. Highlights include that G spent an hour and a half helping me fix my tennis serve, which is essential because I moved up in the neighborhood tennis league to the M-level (from P!!)
For the Royal Circus blog, I rounded up 5 hotels in the Cotswolds I am keen to go to.
Nothing gets me more excited than when people write about Edinburgh and I stumble across it!
mentioned a few of my fav places in Edi in her most recent newsletter.Opened the link to this Festival of Fashion in the Scottish Highlands in November and legit GASPED at the line-up. I must go. I have the perfect tartan skirt for it.
Hosting a Sober October happy hour on Wednesday. Here’s the moodboard in case you were curious!!!
In the same vein, I am going to share ideas for dinner party themes as they strike me! The first one up was Pecks with Becks - a Beckham-themed British roast. Read all the details here for what I’d wear and what menu I’d have.
dinner party theme #1: pecks with becks
·Welcome to Party of One, a series where I outline themes to consider for your next dinner party. The idea came for this series came when I was procrasti-making a mood board for a Sober October happy hour I’m hosting next week. (The theme is Highlander meets Horse Girl in case you were curious.)
Kate Pauley is featured in the
newsletter which is fitting because she is THE coolest.Read it here!!
Found a hack on Tiktok to stretch out jeans that are too tight—you wear them in the shower and let them dry. I tried it with a pair of vintage Levi’s that I can’t sit down in. Will report back.
Tried Noto, a small plates restaurant in Edinburgh that is now my favorite restaurant here.
- wrote a perfect gift guide. It is the only gift guide we will ever need.
Sending huge huge hugs!!!
Sarah
